Hi there, this is Aryansh and in this post I'm gonna tell you about the HTC Desire X.
This is a new phone by HTC and it has quite a lot of features in a little bit of budget. Read More to find out about this phone.
This phone sells in India for about Rs. 19k and in US you can get it for around $300. This phone is a flagship Android phone from HTC and packs up some nice features that you may find useful. Also, this phone is good for daily purposes only, not for gaming and running heavy Apps.
Screen Size
This phone sports a 4-inch screen and it is very good for daily usage. The phone looks smart anyways, it hasn't got that hockey stick look as in HTC One V. It doesn't seem small at all, and because 4-inch phones are not that common these days, it looks different from what others have.
Resolution & Pixel Density
The screen resolution is not up to the mark, i.e, it is not what I expected it to be and HTC has really disappointed me. I think most of the high-end Android apps and games won't run on this because of such a small resolution. The resolution of this phone is 480 x 800 pixels and I think it is not up to the mark.
Even though, the screen resolution has disappointed me, the pixel density has satisfied me. The pixel density on this phone it quite high and this is the reason why while looking at it you won't find any small little pixels and black-black narrow spaces.
This is the reason that the display looks smooth rather than sharp. I don't prefer too sharp display for prolonged usage. I mean, as sharp as Super AMOLED. If I look at a Super AMOLED screen for a long period of time then my eyes start watering or something. I generally keep the brightness to the lowest when I use a Super AMOLED screen phone.
Protection
This thing might be the biggest turn off for some people. Even I find this to be the biggest con in this phone.
Humans use phones, not robots.
Humans use phones with fingers.
Humans keep their phones in their pockets with their keys and stuff.
HTC hasn't provided any protection on the screen. It hasn't even made it fingerprint-proof. No protection on the screen means lots of scratches. We can use phones without the fingerprint-proofing but we can't generally use phones without getting the screen scratched if it hasn't got any protection.
HTC should have provided some protection for the screen, how can one use a phone without getting it scratched? Shame!
The connectivity options that we get with this phone are as follows:-
Coming back to thickness. The thickness of this phone is almost a cm, the phone is 9.3 mm thick.
The phone is not weighty at all in the 4-inch phone segment. It is just 114 g and it doesn't feel light when you hold it. I don't know why, but this phone doesn't just feels right when you hold it. It kind of feels heavy.
The storage that we get in this phone is 4 GB. Out of this 4 GB, only 1.1 GB is saved for apps and 1 GB for your personal use.
We get the option to expand our storage by adding a memory card but 1.1 GB is not just enough for app, as to my liking. You may have to root this phone to get more storage for apps.
RAM
The RAM provided in this phone is the same as in the Samsung Galaxy S Duos. It is rather peculiar to have this much of RAM.
This phone has 768 MB of RAM out of which only about 250 - 350 MB of RAM is available to us.
You may see some lags while multitasking with this phone.
Primary
The camera on this phone is a 5 Mega-pixels shooter and does support the autofocus functionality. It lacks the touch focus option even after having the autofocus. I don't know what is the problem with HTC. Why hasn't HTC provided the touch focus? I don't know. The camera is of a very nice quality and the pictures come out good but the video quality on this really isn't up to the mark.
The video quality that we get is just horrible according to the price. We get 480p recording at 30 fps. Hazardous in my opinion!
Secondary
Secondary camera doesn't exist!
Processor & GPU
The processor on this phone is average, it isn't too good, nor too bad. It is just right for a phone in this budget. The processor that we get is a dual-core 1 GHz Snapdragon S3 processor.
The GPU provided is also not up to the mark. I wish it was Adreno 220 but it is just Adreno 203.
This phone hasn't got much sensors. The sensors in this phone are listed below.
That's it for now...

Display
The display on this phone is a Super LCD capacitive touchscreen and we have seen this kind of display before in many HTC phones including the HTC One X.Screen Size

Connectivity
The connectivity options that we get are good enough to use a phone for daily use. It has some very nice features that may give a real treat to the low-budget high-class people. The connectivity options that we get with this phone are as follows:-
- GPRS
- EDGE
- Wi-Fi - 802.11 b/g/n
- DLNA
- Bluetooth - 4.0 with A2DP
Thickness & Weight
The phone is quite thick to my liking but according to the budget, it is just fine. HTC always provides us with thick phones which have very nice build quality. Indeed, this phone's build is very nice and I give it a big thumbs up.Coming back to thickness. The thickness of this phone is almost a cm, the phone is 9.3 mm thick.

Storage
The storage provided in this phone is very poor and it surely is a bummer according to me. We do get 25 GB of Dropbox storage free for 2 years with this phone, as in most HTC phones, but still the storage is just not enough. The storage that we get in this phone is 4 GB. Out of this 4 GB, only 1.1 GB is saved for apps and 1 GB for your personal use.

Camera
The camera on this phone is another disappointing subject. This is not because of its MP rating, but because of its video quality.Primary

OS & Chipset
This phone comes pre-loaded with Android version 4.0(ICS) and HTC hasn't announced any Jelly Bean update yet. The user interface provided is the HTC Sense UI version 4.0.Processor & GPU
The processor on this phone is average, it isn't too good, nor too bad. It is just right for a phone in this budget. The processor that we get is a dual-core 1 GHz Snapdragon S3 processor.

Other Features
SensorsThis phone hasn't got much sensors. The sensors in this phone are listed below.
- Accelerometer(motion sensor)
- Proximity
- Light
GPS
We do get GPS with this phone and this feature has become pretty obvious right now in every second phone. It does lack GLONASS, but since it is not a high-end phone, we must not keep our hopes very high. We do get the A-GPS support with the GPs in this.
Battery
The last, the battery. The battery on this phone is a Li-ion battery, which is quite nice, the mAh rating on which is 1650 and it is just good to last for a day. That's it for now...
